Barrita Orchids
Cattleya Orchid Hybrid SVO11942 (Slc. Lana Coryell 'Pink' x Sl. Orpetii 'Hidden Treasure' 4N AM/AOS)
Hybrid seedling plant in a 50mm tube.
Slc. Dal's Perfection
I learned about this hybrid on a trip to Australia. The plants I saw there were outstanding. When the seeds of our remake germinated, I was so happy we could now offer them here! Sl. Orpetii parents are (L. pumila x Soph. coccinea). This very fine cultivar ‘Hidden Treasure 4n’ came from Alan Koch of Gold Country Orchids. Lana Coryell (C. walkeriana x Sc. Beaufort) has charming flowers that are surprisingly large for the plant’s stature. We are imagining these to be as good as the flowers seen in Australia; large, flat, round flowers, with broad lips, in rose to coral colours on a mini plant.
Imported Seedling from Sunset Valley Orchids, USA. Picture shows the parent of this cross. The above description was written by Fred Clarke and details the expectation of this hybrid.
