At SVO we are always looking for the ideal cross: a vigorous grower that blooms well with excellent flower shape and colour. Our compact blue breeding toward this goal is coming along very nicely. Floralia's Azul (Lc. Mem. Jack Hayden x C. walkeriana) has proven to be an important breeder of blues. Its fine shape, colour, and free-flowering habit are strong points. Love Knot is a small plant and an excellent grower that’s only 5” tall. It blooms twice a year with 2 to 3, very flat flowers that are nearly 4” across.  Based on the progeny we have seen produced by these two parents, we can predict that this mating will produce a coerulea flower with dark blue lips, they will have wide petals that are flat, making for a nice presentation.
