Barrita Orchids
Cattleya Orchid Hybrid SVO11582 (L. briegeri 'Brazilian Gold' x L. tenebrosa 'SVO Vinicolor')
Hybrid seedling plant in a 50mm tube.
L. Ipanema Beach
We purchased 4-5 plants from a vendor at a show in Florida, and when we bloomed one, we realised we wanted to remake it. The plant habit looked like a larger growing L. briegeri, they were about 12” tall and bloomed in a 3” pot. The flowers were light yellow and some blushed over in red, all had purple lips. Nice sturdy stems carried 6-7 flowers, a very attractive cross.
Imported Seedling from Sunset Valley Orchids, USA. Picture shows the parent of this cross. The above description was written by Fred Clarke and details the expectation of this hybrid.
