Blc. Fantasy Love
The late Frank Fordyce developed the hybrid Fordyce Fantasy (Blc. Horizon Flight x C. aurantiaca). This is a surprisingly nice cross, with robust plants bearing flowers with orange sepals and yellow petals sporting red picotees and flares. Love Sound has proven itself to be an excellent breeder. It imparts a number of important qualities: full, round flowers, bright-yellow colour, a good stem carrying 4-6 blooms, and an attractive, compact growth habit. These will have strong inflorescences will hold the 5-7 flowers nicely above the foliage, flared and picoted flowers will be in shades of yellow and lavender. Another nice quality is that it will bloom in April, perfect timing for orchid shows.
