The parent of many fine hybrids, Carolina Splendor (Pot. x Blc. Oconee) is a standard-sized Cattleya plant with large wine-red flowers, fully ruffled dark burgundy lips with superb shape and form. Loud Nine (Sl. Orpetii x Pot. Rubescence) is not a typo. After seeing the first plants bloom, we loudly exclaimed we were on Cloud Nine! As the red colour and shape of the flowers were off the charts! We believe the genetics in this cross will produce plants that are compact in stature, with solid red flowers, dark red lips and fantastic shape. These will have all the look of a standard-sized red Catt flowers on a compact plant.
