Barrita Orchids
Cattleya Orchid SVO10157 (Pot. Martha Clarke Outstanding' x Slc. Virginia Dickey 'Diamond Orchids' AM/AOS)
Hybrid seedling plant in a 50mm tube.
Martha Clarke (Blc. Love Sound x Slc. Circle of Life) is named for my wife, it’s her namesake! it has proven to be a successful breeder, imparting good flower shape, colour and a sturdy stem. Virginia Dickey (Slc. Pink Doll x Sl. Pole-Star) is well on its way to becoming a legendary parent breeding in mini-Catts, it flowers twice a year in a 3” pot with sturdy stems holding 2-4 bright red flowers of superior form and shape. We are excited about the potential of this cross, we are predicting shapely, red to orange-red flowers, with sturdy stems of 4-5 flowers from compact plants.
Imported Seedling from Sunset Valley Orchids, USA. Picture shows the parent of this cross. The above description was written by Fred Clarke and details the expectation of this hybrid.
