Hybrid seedling plant in a 50mm tube.
Yam. Blue Ridge Sunset
What a novelty hybrid this is! Love Sound has proven itself over and over as a valuable breeder and is dominant for yellow flower colour, form, stem and plant habit. Kyoguchi (Enc. aromatica x Gur. aurantiaca), has 60 or more yellow flowers on branched inflorescences that are highly fragrant. The progeny of the cross is growing vigorously, and they should start to flower in 3” pots and mature in 4” pots. These will carry well-formed yellow flowers with red-striped lips, and some will exhibit the fragrance and branching habits from the Kyoguchi. It’s a great pairing with the first plants already receiving Awards.
Imported Seedling from Sunset Valley Orchids, USA. Picture shows the parent of this cross. The above description was written by Fred Clarke and details the expectation of this hybrid.
