100mm Cattleya Orchid Seedling SVO10174 (Pot. Virginia Dickey 'Diamond Orchids' AM/AOS x Slc. Circle of Life 'Red Halo' HCC/AOS)

Hybrid seedling plant in a 100mm pot. Near flowering size. Cross made by Fred Clarke, Sunset Valley Orchids, USA. Picture shows the parent of this cross. The following description was written by Fred and details the expectation of this hybrid. 

I have been thinking about making this cross for some time, the potential is astounding knowing the contributions these parents will make. Virginia Dickey (Slc. Pink Doll x Sl. Pole-Star) ‘Diamond Orchids’ is remarkable, the 5” tall plant blooms 2 times a year, with upright stems holding two to three red flowers above the foliage and the 2.5” wide flowers are flat with outstanding symmetry.   Little introduction is needed for Circle of Life (Lc. Culminant x Soph. coccinea) ‘Red Halo is an excellent breeder known for imparting wide flat petals, overall shape, and rich red colour.  We are imagining the progeny will have 2-3 flowers, well presented just above the foliage, in red with crazy good form all from a mini-Catt sized plant.
