Aussie Sunset (Lc. Fires of Spring x C. Gene May) has a red flower with orange flares, and the 5-6 flowers are clustered like a bouquet on sturdy stems. Tokyo Magic (Lc. Irene Finney x L. briegeri) imparts a good flower shape, red lip colour, and strong stems. I think Tropical Aurora has considerable potential. Flowers will range in colours from sunset red and orange with bold red flares to pure bright yellow, all with contrasting red lips. The strong stems will display 5-7 flowers above the foliage, and the plants will be compact, robust growers. To be honest, I made this cross for myself, as I’m looking for a plant that has all these qualities to serve as a good parent in future breeding.
