With its showy flowers, this species is highly collectable. The plants are 20-24” tall, the flower spikes are 5” long and they carry 13-15 waxy, deep mahogany-coloured flowers with purple lips and interestingly there are pink-coloured bracts for each flower adding to this species floral beauty. These have been treated (t) with oryzalin, to help induce higher ploidy, the converted ones will be very desirable
Imported Seedling from Sunset Valley Orchids, USA. Picture shows the parent of this cross. The above description was written by Fred Clarke and details the expectation of this hybrid.
