Guess What (Blc. Waikiki Gold x Lc. Trick or Treat) is one of my favorite breeding plants due to its vibrant orange-yellow flower, cluster of 8-9 flowers and strong stems. This Gold Star (L. flava x L. harpophylla) is a chance tetraploid from a cross of two Brazilian rupicolous Laelia’s, its starry shaped yellow flowers have fuller shape and heavier substance, and the plant has stockier pencil thin pseudobulbs. These are compact plants with straight upright bulbs and inflorescences with 7-9 the bright yellow starry flowers held high.
