I am just noticing while writing the descriptions we have a few more pink flowered hybrids offered this year. Loddiglossa (C. amethystoglossa x C. loddigesii) has waxy, pink flowers presented in a huge cluster of 25 well above the foliage. Little Mermaid (C. walkeriana x Bc. Maikai) is a simple hybrid with lots of character. Its flower shape is influenced by an ancestral species in its breeding B. nodosa, the flower count by another, C. bowringiana and a third species C. walkeriana for color. What is the objective of this cross? We are envisioning heads of 10-12 pink flowers with spotted pink lips, on a plant about 10” tall. We have seen some really nice hybrids arise from breeding with Little Mermaid and we believe this will be a good one too
