Barrita Orchids
Cattleya Orchid Seedling SVO10276 (Slc. Angel Eyes 'SVO' AM/AOS x Pot. Loud Nine 'SVO Best')
Hybrid seedling plant in a 50mm tube.
Angel Eyes (Slc. Bright Angel x Lc. Little Dipper) has been in our breeding program for years and has created many successful crosses. Just recently, I realized how good a parent it is, exhibiting dominance for flaring, flat petals, good flower size, reduced plant stature, and ease of growth. Loud Nine (Pot. Rubescence x Sl. Orpetii). The flowers are exceptionally large, flat and round, and the colour is a deep intense red with a full-shaped dark burgundy red lip. These are going to be really good flared mini-Catts. They will have lots of red in the flowers, and the plants will bloom twice a year in 3” pots
Imported Seedling from Sunset Valley Orchids, USA. Picture shows the parent of this cross. The above description was written by Fred Clarke and details the expectation of this hybrid.
