At Barrita, we believe good growers never stop evolving. No medium is perfect, and there's always room to do better. We've seen that with our move to deflasking into cupcakes, and now we're taking the next step by changing our main growing medium to a coir-based organic mix.

What we're seeing

Our trials have been genuinely exciting. If you're switching over, expect to water less often than you're used to. Check the mix before watering rather than sticking to a fixed schedule, and let it approach just-damp before watering again. Most problems after a media change come from overwatering, not underwatering.
