Hybrid seedling plant in a 50mm tube.
We are always thinking about what has not been done before, so what about this, white mini-Catts that don’t looks like C. walkeriana hybrids? The main characteristics of many walkeriana hybrids it the exposed column and flattened lip shape. By taking advantage of warneri and alaorii tubular lip shape and white flower color we may be on to something here. We have not fully tested the alba breeding potential of alaorii as this is an unknown, we many see some soft pink flowers from this pairing. Plants will be short; we think under 6” tall making them mini-Catts. How cool will it be to have mini-Catts in white?
Imported Seedling from Sunset Valley Orchids, USA. Picture shows the parent of this cross. The above description details the expectation of this hybrid.
