This is the same for flower size, a 5” flower and a 2.5” flower will give is 3-4” sized flowers. Purple Doll.  Here, the goal is for 7-8” tall plants with 2-3 flowers being produced twice a year. We know from previous experience that plants will be 6-8” tall, flowering first in 3” pots and maturing in 4” pots, with 3-5 flowers displayed just above the foliage.  The flower colour outcome is harder to predict. It imparts a number of important qualities: full, round flowers, bright-yellow colour, a good stem carrying 4-6 blooms, and an attractive, compact growth habit.  These will have strong inflorescences will hold the 5-7 flowers nicely above the foliage, flared and picoted flowers will be in shades of yellow and lavender.  Check out how this one came out in the second photo. Grandee) is a very special plant. One of its parents, Lc. Grandee (Lc. Mrs. Medo x C. Aeneas), is a prominent parent in the history of Cattleya breeding from the 1950's and 60's. This influential hybrid is made up of three species: C. dowiana 75%, L. tenebrosa 12.5%, and C. bicolor 12.5%. Summerland Girl blooms with an astonishing 21 large, waxy, bright red flowers with contrasting purple-red lips. The plant is 2' tall and, when in bloom, the inflorescence adds an extra foot - really spectacular!\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan class=\"apple-converted-space\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003eChinese Bronze (C. bicolor x Blc. Chinese Jade) has very flat, rounded, and wide bronze petals and a bright lip reminiscent of the bicolor parent. I have a very good feeling about this cross!\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan class=\"apple-converted-space\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cspan\u003ePlants will be 18-20” tall and produce strong upright stems carrying 10 or more large, flat flowers in glossy, deep bronze to burgundy with bright red lips.
